A Thank You To You On Giving Tuesday

Dear Brush Creek Players patron,
Thank you for joining our audiences this year. Without the support of people like you, our local theater company would cease to exist.
In 2025, Brush Creek Players will celebrate 50 years of bringing quality productions to our Silverton neighbors. We will celebrate this milestone with a 14-production season – the most in our history. There are considerable costs to present our plays on stage. Ticket prices support the play in part, but the cost of costumes, set construction, props, licensing fees, scripts, maintenance of the playhouse, etc. all add up. None of our actors or board members are paid for their time; they do it because they love the theatre.
At this time of year, many of us are thinking about charitable giving and the potential for deductions from our 2024 tax bill. In addition, the annual National Day of Giving is just around the corner on Tuesday, December 3. Please consider a donation to Brush Creek Players. The support of friends like you will enable us to continue to deliver the quality theater that our Silverton/Mt Angel community deserves.

It’s Christmas Eve and a young newspaper reporter, on the brink of being fired, has been assigned a last chance story about a typical family Christmas – his family. He goes home to his recently widowed mother, his crazy uncle, and eccentric grandmother as well as battling siblings and neurotic spouses with no shortage of material. One by one, we learn of each family member’s secrets, problems and dysfunctions, and when they learn that he’s writing an article with some very personal family information, the fruitcake hits the fan. The question is, will the magic of Christmas bring this family back together?
