Open auditions for The Golden Harp that Saved Silverton – April 29 and 30

TWO MORE CHANCES!

Brush Creek is holding two more open auditions for those who would like to be part of Brush Creek’s annual melodrama — The Golden Harp that Saved Silverton, written and directed by Norman Gouveia:

1 pm, Sunday, April 29

6 pm, Monday, April 30

We are still looking for at least one adult male and one relatively young adult female – but there are plenty of parts available in this production’s flexible casting structure. Contact Director Norman Gouveia for more information at 503-510-7965

Evil Dusty Dirk – also known as “Dirty Dirk” – is trying to squeeze the Nicely family off their land so he can get the treasure his uncle buried somewhere on the property. He is also trying to get our heroine, Cicely Nicely, to marry him. But she only has eyes for Cole Thorpe, the very handsome hero.

How will this all play out?

What about the Mysterious Stranger?

How will Cole buy the Hopeland spread?

It’s all a mystery in the The Golden Harp That Saved Silverton.

The cast involves parts of various sizes for men and women of various ages. Are you an experienced actor looking for a bit of summer fun pounding the boards? Give us a try! Are you a first-timer thinking this might be the thing for you? Melodramas are a great way to get started! Somewhere in between? We’ve got a place for you as well. No preparation needed to audition.

Auditions will be held at the theater, located at 11535 Silverton Road (the intersection of Brush Creek and Silverton Roads — the parking lot is entered off of Brush Creek).
