Neil Simon’s “I Ought to Be in Pictures” Closing Matinee
November 22, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$10Brush Creek is pleased to close its 2015 season with this marvelous comedy from the master of modern comedy, Neil Simon. Directed by John Sams and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., I Ought to Be in Pictures tells the story of down-on-his-luck screenwriter Herb Tucker, his girlfriend Steffy Blondell, and Libby, the daughter he hasn’t seen for 16 years.
When Libby shows up on his doorstep after hitchhiking from New York (“when you’re not gorgeous, you hike more than you hitch”), Herb has to come to grips not only with his past, but with his present.
The production runs from Friday, November 4 thru Sunday, November 22, with performances each Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and each Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 ($8 for seniors, students, and children) and can be purchased in advance at Runaway Art & Craft in downtown Salem (311 Commercial St NE; 503-881-6270) or at Books-N-Time in downtown Silverton (210 N. Water St., Suite B; 503-874-4311).
They can also be purchased 30 minutes before each performance at Brush Creek Playhouse, located at 11535 Silverton Road, Silverton (the corner of Brush Creek and Silverton Roads between Salem and Silverton). The parking lot is entered from Brush Creek.
For further information, contact Michael Wood at 503-308-3682.
This is sort of last minute, but if anyone would like to talk about the show on Theatre Talk on KMUZ tomorrow, Friday, come in at 8:30-8:45 for a 9:00 show-let me know on facebook at Theatre Talk or on my email at donie1119@msn.com-Ann McBride
We will be there! Sounds like great fun.
