“Christmas at the Blizzard: A Murder Mystery” — Matinee
December 3, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
A group of strangers are gathered in an old hotel, cut off from the world and any chance of assistance. When a stranger arrives bringing warnings of danger, it begins to sound like something out of Agatha Christie! And that’s no accident. Christmas at the Blizzard: A Murder Mystery is a “parlor mystery,” consciously written in the tradition of Agatha Christie’s great mysteries.
You have all the makings of a wonderful mystery. Just toss in a suspicious character or two, a shady background, valuable family heirlooms and . . . a food processor? The script, written by Emily Wood and Michael Wood, will keep you guessing until the play’s final minutes.
The production opens Friday, December 1 and runs three weekends to close on Sunday, December 17. Performances are at 7 pm Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 pm on Sundays.
Reserved seat tickets can be purchased for $10 ($8 for seniors, children and students) at Books-N-Time on Water Street in downtown Silverton or at Runaway Art & Craft on NE Commercial in downtown Salem. Tickets are also available beginning 30 minutes before each performance.
This is a murder mystery — so patrons should be prepared for a scream or two, as well as several gunshots, during the run of the show.
