“All in the Timing” will hit Brush Creek’s stage June 16 thru July 2

As “The Hallelujah Girls” finishes its first of 3 weekends, Brush Creek is pleased to announce the cast of its next production, “All in the Timing,” a set of 1-acts written by David Ives and directed by Dixie McCartney.

Dixie has settled on a cast made up of Ariel Blain, Tavis Evans, Julianna Gibbons, and Marc Wassom. As with so many of our recent shows, “All in the Timing” will offer a blend of familiar faces and first-time performers (at least on the Brush Creek stage). And with a whole group of 1-act plays to stage, this group will certainly have their work cut out for them!

The show will open Friday, June 16 and run through Sunday, July 2 (note the 1-week delay in the performance schedule, compared to previous publicity).

We are looking forward to yet another wonderful comic production!

“Hallelujah Girls” comes to Brush Creek’s Stage April 14-30!

Brush Creek will be continuing its 2017 season with another marvelous comedy with a wonderful group of characters you will learn to love and laugh along with!

The Hallelujah Girls , a comedy written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten in 2010 comes to the Brush Creek stage by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. We are so excited about the cast that Director Kimberly Strong has assembled — you will want to mark you calendars and pick up your reserved seat tickets, on sale now at both of our ticket locations (Runaway Art & Craft on NE Commercial in downtown Salem and Books-N-Time on Water Street in downtown Silverton).

Can’t you tell they’re having a great time even posing for a picture or two!

“The Further MISadventures of the Seven Dwarfs” comes to Brush Creek Feb 17 thru March 5

Brush Creek’s opens our first play of our 2017 season — The Further MISadventures of the Seven Dwarfs, our annual children and youth production — on Friday, February 17. The production includes almost two complete casts with a total of 37 young actors between the two casts. The play, which was first produced by Brush Creek in 2011, was written by Michael Wood and is directed by Linda Zellner, with the assistance of Emily Wood.
As its name implies, MISadventures brings back the seven dwarfs who were featured in last year’s successful production of The Brothers Grimm Tale of Snow White. Although they exhibit the same unique personality quirks that made last season’s audience enjoy them so thoroughly, it is not necessary for audiences to be familiar with the previous show to enjoy this production. The author describes MISadventures as “best envisaged with the dwarfs playing the role of ‘knights errant,’ wandering through the Brothers Grimm storybook, bringing both familiar — and less familiar — tales to life with a twist.”
The production opens Friday, February 17 and closes Sunday, March 5. Performances are at 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with matinees at 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition (and based on the strong audience response when we experimented with Thursday evening shows during 2016) Brush Creek is adding performances at 7 pm on Thursday, February 23 and Thursday, March 2.
Brush Creek will also be selling reserved seat tickets for these performances. Tickets (still just $10 for adults with $8 discounted tickets available for seniors, children and students) are on sale now at Books-N-Time in downtown Silverton and at Runaway Art & Craft in downtown Salem. Tickets are available at these locations until 4 pm on the day of evening performances and until 4 pm the day before matinee performances. The remaining tickets (always at least 9 seats) will be available at the door beginning 30 minutes before each performance.
For more information or for group ticket sales, contact Michael Wood at (503)508-3682.
The performances are split between two casts. The cast lists and the performance dates are listed below:
